Abstraction and the Possibilities of Collaboration--Report on the 55th International Art Exhibition of the Venice Biennale
The day June 1, 2013, saw the opening of the 55th International Art Exhibition of the Venice Biennale, and the Japan Pavilion exhibit entitled "abstract speaking--sharing uncertainty and collective acts," commissioned by the Japan Foundation, was awarded to a Special Mention. After returning, exhibiting artist Koki Tanaka and curator Mika Kuraya reported on their experiences in Venice, and presented Hikaru Fujii's documentary video of the Japan Pavilion.
