The Japan Foundation Award 2018 commemorative lecture by Toshio Hosokawa

On November 29, 2018, at the Goethe-Institute hall in Aoyama, a Japanese composer Toshio Hosokawa delivered a lecture entitled "A vibrating path towards the musical dream: From Noh-theater to a new opera form mdash; Opera Erdbeben.Träume and other works" to celebrate having received the Japan Foundation Award 2018. As one of the representative composers of our time, Hosokawa, in his lecture, focused on the special relationship between his own operatic work and the traditional Japanese Noh theater. He made clear analysis of his works with an artist's deep insights for a rich and satisfying two hours.
